The MS program of the Department seeks to develop graduates who can:
1) Develop a deeper understanding of the current management concepts and theories in their areas of specialization.
2) Develop the ability to identify current management issues or problems in their areas of specialization, analyze the problems critically and systematically, and produce creative and valid solutions to the problems.
3) Are effective communicators.
The Ph.D. program of the Department seeks to develop graduates who:
Are able to critically evaluate and/or synthesize various concepts and theories related to their areas of specialization.
Develop the ability to perform high-quality academic research in their areas of specialization.
Develop the ability to produce and disseminate original intellectual contributions independently.
The Department of Strategic Management consists of four major tracks :
HR/OB, Marketing, Service/Operations, and Strategic Management
