Dr. Junyong Kim is a Professor of Marketing at the School of Business, College of Business & Economics, Hanyang University ERICA. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from the Seoul National University in Korea, and received his Ph.D. degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the U.S.A. Before joining Hanyang University ERICA as a faculty member in Fall 2012 semester, he worked in the U.S.A. as a faculty member at the University of Central Florida and Purdue University. His research interests include diverse topics pertaining to consumer psychology and marketing strategies, and his most recent research activities focus on consumers’ responses to technology-based innovative products and services including virtual humans and AI service robots. He has published his work in various domestic and international academic journals including the Journal of Consumer Psychology, the Journal of Retailing, the Journal of Business Research, and the Journal of Consumer Behaviour.
