Currently employed at Hanyang University ERICA, College of Business and Economics, School of Management, Professor Sung Wook Yi graduated from Hanyang University, College of Business and Economics, majoring in Accounting, and obtained a Ph.D. of Business Administration from Hanyang University.
During his career, Professor Yi worked as a Research Fellow at the Management Strategy Research Division of POSCO Management Research Institute. He conducted research on cost competitiveness of POSCO and investment feasibility of new businesses. He also developed estimation models for the cost of products by competitor companies.
Professor Yi has authored 12 major books, including "Cost Management Accounting" and "Principles of Accounting." He has published 38 papers in domestic academic journals such as Accounting Journal, Journal of Management Accounting Research, and Asia-Pacific Business Research, as well as two papers in international journals.
He has served as the President of the Korean Association of Management Accounting and is currently active as a management consultant and professor at POSCO Management Research Institute and Dahnseok Industries.
